Alternative
A Placeit alternative built for Printify sellers
Template libraries are built for making one good mockup. Print on demand is not a one-mockup problem — it is the same mockup again for every color you sell, and again for every design you add. This is built for that shape of work and almost nothing else.
The difference
Four things that change how the work goes
The work is the multiplication
One design on twenty colors is twenty exports in a template library, and adding a second design starts the column again. Here it is one placement and one click, whatever the numbers are.
Your colors, not a color picker
Importing from Printify brings across only the colorways you have enabled for sale, matched by name to the photographs. Nothing to tick, and nothing rendered in a color you do not stock.
Real garments, not recolored ones
All 325 colors are photographs of the actual blank in that color, with swatches sampled from the image. Nothing here is one shirt with a hue shift applied, which is what makes a mockup look like a mockup.
Nothing is uploaded
Rendering happens in your browser on your own machine. Your designs never reach a server, there is no queue, and a large batch is limited by your laptop rather than by someone's render farm.
Being straight with you
When a template library is the better tool
These are real reasons to use something else, and knowing them now saves you the afternoon.
You need lots of product types
Mugs, phone cases, posters, tote bags, packaging. This does four apparel blanks. A library covers hundreds of products and that breadth is the whole point of it.
You want styled scenes
A model in a specific setting, a seasonal background, a flat lay with props arranged your way. Libraries have thousands of those. Here you get a fixed catalogue of clean garment shots.
You want social and video templates
Logos, thumbnails, animated ads, brand kits. Those are a design suite's job. The only video here is an Etsy listing video made from your own colors.
Plenty of sellers use both, and that is a reasonable answer. A library for the hero shot and the scenes, this for the fifty color variants underneath it — because that second job is where the hours actually go.

FAQ
Switching questions
- How is this different from a mockup template library?
- A template library gives you a picture and you place a design on it, one at a time. This connects to your Printify store, pulls in your designs with the print placement you already set and the colors you have enabled for sale, and renders every design on every color in one run. The difference is the multiplication, not the pictures.
- Does it have as many products?
- No, and deliberately not. There are 11 mockup styles across four blanks — the garments print on demand sellers actually list. A library with ten thousand templates is a different product for a different job.
- Can I use my own mockup photographs?
- Not as generator styles. The color matching depends on knowing which photograph is which colorway, which is why the catalogue is fixed. You can bring your own images into the listing video studio.
- Do I need Printify?
- No. You can drop in PNGs by hand and pick colors yourself. Printify just removes the two slowest steps — placing the design and choosing which colors to render.
- What do I actually get back?
- One ZIP, one folder per design, every file named by its color, at up to 4096 × 4096. Nothing to rename before uploading to Etsy.
- Can I try it before paying?
- Yes, and it asks for neither a card nor an account. The free generator runs 25 mockups — enough to put your real catalogue through it, which is the only test that tells you anything.
