Fair use policy

Unlimited means unlimited for one person running their own shop. This page sets out the few limits that keep it that way, and they are set high enough that ordinary use will not meet them.

1What unlimited means

There is no monthly export allowance and no credit system. Run as many batches as your work needs, across as many designs and colors as you sell. A normal, busy print-on-demand shop will never encounter a limit here.

Unlimited refers to your own commercial use of the tool. It is not an invitation to run automated workloads through it, and it does not make one subscription serve several businesses.

2One account, one person

  • A subscription is for one individual. Sharing login details with other people is not permitted.
  • Do not resell, sublicense, or provide access to Colormockups as part of a service you offer to others.
  • A shop with several staff should buy a subscription for each person who uses the tool. Ask us if you need something arranged differently.

3One free trial

The 3-day trial is once per person. We record that a trial has been used against your email address and your payment provider customer record, so that creating a second account, or cancelling and signing up again, does not produce another free period. You can always subscribe again — it simply starts as a paid subscription.

4Automation and bots

  • Do not script, scrape or otherwise drive the application without a person operating it.
  • Do not attempt to extract the mockup image library, in whole or in part.
  • Do not circumvent the rate limits, the batch size ceiling, or the subscription checks.
  • Do not use the application to attack, overload or probe our systems or Printify's.

5Technical safeguards

A few limits exist to keep the service healthy and to protect your own browser. They are set well above ordinary use:

  • A ceiling on the number of files in a single batch. Past a certain size a browser tab is fighting memory and disk rather than rendering, so very large jobs should be split. The current ceiling is 2,000 files per batch.
  • A limit on how many batches one account can start per hour.
  • Standard protections against abusive request volumes.

These figures can change. If a change would affect normal use, we will say so before it takes effect.

6Mockup images

The mockups you generate are yours to use in listings, shop pages, advertising and social media for products you sell. The blank garment images themselves are licensed to us and may not be downloaded, extracted, redistributed, resold or used in another product or service.

7If something looks wrong

Where usage looks automated or shared, we will normally contact you first and ask about it. Accounts are suspended without warning only where the behaviour is clearly abusive or threatens the service for other customers.

If you think a limit is getting in the way of legitimate work, email support@colormockups.com. Describe the workload and we will look at it properly.
